Some weeks bring momentum. Others bring resistance. Most bring a mix of both. In Episode 737 of Monday Morning Mojo, Phil delivers a powerful reminder to adopt a mindset that rises above it all: give back more than you receive. Not more busyness or burnout, but more focus, more courage, more excellence, and more gratitude.

Instead of matching the energy around you, this episode challenges you to elevate it. When life gives you opportunity, respond with action. When it gives you pressure, respond with strength. When it gives you a platform, respond with impact. Phil unpacks how small, intentional choices compound over time, shaping not just your results, but your reputation and legacy. If you are ready to stop reacting to circumstances and start setting the tone, this episode will give you the spark to do exactly that.

Top performers in every field surround themselves with those who inspire them, who seek to build them up, and who push them to reach beyond their current limits. I am Phil Buchanan, executive chairman of Cannon Financial Institute. I designed Monday Morning Mojo to provide you with a weekly spark, a push and motivational insight to live your best life. Thanks for joining.

Good Monday morning. It is Phil here with episode 737 of Monday Morning Mojo. Today I want us to take a deeper look at a quote I recently heard for a thousand reasons. Plus, I haven't been able to stop thinking about the implications if the world would just act upon this quote. I believe that when followed, it becomes a state of mind that doesn't just inspire, it ignites the quote.

Whatever life gives you. Give back more. Now, this isn't a slogan. This is actually a strategy. It's a way to show up in the world with purpose, with power, with generosity. Today we're gonna unpack it in a way. I hope that leaves you not just thinking, but ready to act. You know, life is unpredictable.

Sometimes it hands you momentum, sometimes it hands you setbacks. Sometimes it hands you a mountain that you never asked to climb. But here is the motivational truth. We started on this last week. You do not control the hand you're dealt. But you absolutely control how you choose to play it. Giving back more means refusing to let life define you.

It means flipping the script. It means taking what you get, good, bad, complicated, whatever, and turning it into something greater. This is not wishful thinking. This is resilience. This is leadership. This is owning your story. When we talk about giving more, we're not talking about burnout or busy work, we're talking about amplifying what matters.

Life introduces you to skills. You should give back mastery of those skills. Life gives you chances. We need to give back. Excellence, life gives you challenges. You in turn, give back courage. Life gives you support. You give back gratitude. Every time you choose to elevate what you've been given, you personally grow stronger, you become more clear.

You become more capable. Now, here's the motivation, hiding inside this idea. The more you give, the more you become. Generosity of effort, of kindness, of leadership. These things compound. You might think your amount of extra effort doesn't matter. You may think your encouragement doesn't matter. You may think your positive mindset doesn't matter, but they all matter because every small act builds momentum.

One bold step becomes a habit. One habit becomes a reputation. One reputation becomes your legacy. That's the ripple effect in action. You're not just giving more, you're shaping the world around you. Now, let's bring this into the everyday. When someone gives you a moment, you give back your best self. Not distracted, not half in fully present.

When life gives you a tough situation, you give back your strength, not by pretending it's easy, but by choosing not to fold. When success comes your way, you give back humility and generosity because gratitude keeps success grounded and meaningful. When doors open, you give back opportunities to others.

That's actually how leaders become catalysts. These are small moves with big impact, and each one builds the muscle of giving more. Now, here's where motivation meets truth. Giving back more actually takes courage. It's easy to give back the same energy you receive. It's harder to raise the temperature in the room.

It's harder to stay hopeful when things feel heavy. It's harder to respond with excellence when no one's watching, but that's exactly why give more, separates the average from the exceptional. Giving back more is a decision. It's a bold one because this can only happen to a person who sets the tone.

Lifts the standard, takes the high road, pushes through the discomfort, chooses growth over ease. You don't have to be perfect to be powerful. You simply have to be willing. As we wrap up today, here's your challenge. Something to carry into the next 24 hours. Ask yourself, what is life giving me right now and what powerful thing can I give back?

If life is giving you resistance, you give back. Persistence. If life is giving you opportunity, you give back action. If life is giving you uncertainty, you give back. Faith. If life is giving you a platform, give back impact. You have more influence than you probably think. You have more strength than you realize.

You have more capacity than you've tapped into. Whatever life gives you. Give back more. Not because you have to, but because you can.
