Thanks for joining. Good Monday morning Cannon nation. It is Phil here with episode 673 of Monday morning Mojo. Well, it's Thanksgiving week and long time listeners will know what's coming up. Each year during Thanksgiving week, I pay tribute to an individual that was an icon of my youth. His name was Furman Bisher.

He was the sports editor for the Atlanta Constitution newspaper, an organization he worked for between 1950 and 2012. Furman Bisher in 1955 began writing a column every Thanksgiving day entitled, I'm thankful. And so in honor of Furman Bisher every year for the last eight years, I have carried on that concept with my own version of I'm thankful on the podcast of Monday morning, mojo the week of Thanksgiving.

And so I challenge each of you, the listeners out there to grab a pad at some point this week and jot down a dozen or more things in your life for which you are grateful. Here's just but a bit of the things for which I'm thankful. I'm thankful for the gift of continual learning, especially in areas that stretch me.

I'm thankful for the gift of persistence, for the value of hard work. I'm thankful for the gift of flight, especially on those days when you have 70 knot Tailwinds. I'm thankful for our family's fourth generation family farm. I'm thankful for early morning day breaks that come while I'm in the woods. The duck blind are on the water.

I'm always thankful when I get to watch English cocker spaniels flush a covey of quail while in the field. I'm so thankful for a great cup of early morning coffee. I'm equally thankful for a quality bourbon in the evening around the fire pit. I'm thankful for high end college football and the playoffs that will come this year.

I'm thankful for the gift given to me by all the mentors I've had in my life, both past and present. I'm thankful for thought provoking writers. Who challenged me to think for myself. I am thankful for the autopilot on the plane I fly and for adaptive cruise control in the car I drive. I'm thankful for the Uber app, especially when my wife and I are stuck at the Czech Republic.

As the trains are inoperable, I am thankful for a good round of golf with great friends. I'm thankful to have a business partner who is the yang to my ying who compliments me in the areas where I'm not as strong. I'm thankful to work with outstanding men and women who strive to make the wealth management industry.

Even better than it already is. I'm thankful to have a podcast crew who each and every week makes me sound much better than I am. I'm thankful for the U S military. I'm thankful for local law enforcement and for local fire professionals. I'm thankful for creative minds like Taylor Sheridan and his great work.

Yellowstone. I am very thankful that I have a wife who shows great patience and great tolerance. I am thankful for two adult daughters who still smile with loving eyes when they call me dad. I'm thankful for the high energy of places like New York City. I'm thankful for the great vistas of San Francisco and the Bay Area.

I'm thankful for my Peloton bike and folks like Leanne Hainsby Alldis, my favorite Peloton instructor. I'm thankful for those things that bring a tear to my eye, but I'm also thankful for those things that make me smile. I'm thankful for our dogs, Bella and Bulleit. I'm thankful for a great ribeye steak, which is cooked medium rare with a glass or two of Farniente Cabernet.

I'm thankful for the gift of travel and the ability to see great vistas throughout the world. I'm thankful for Apple and its iPhone and all of the apps that I just can't live without. I'm thankful for artificial intelligence and other innovations and particularly those individuals creative behind the scenes who are pushing innovations forward.

I'm thankful for ladies and gentlemen who act as ladies and gentlemen. I'm thankful for a good joke. I'm thankful for my doctor, my dentist, my preacher, my accountant, and my lawyer. Thank you. I need some of them more than others. But at some point in time, you need them all. I'm thankful for our clients, the absolute best in the industry.

I'm thankful for the gift of watching the children of my friends and my own children launch their professional careers. But ultimately I'm thankful to be in an industry and live in a country where I get the opportunity to share my thoughts and ideas freely. And finally, I'm thankful for each one of you, our loyal listeners, because of you, we at Cannon remain enthused, excited, and passionate about what we do each and every day, and so from all of us at Cannon to each of you have a happy and thankful.
