Charitable Foundation Management

Charitable Foundations and Endowments are a growing and complex part of our financial landscape.  Even during the pandemic, charitable giving in the United States exploded with an increase of 11.5% in 2020. This level is expected to increase 5.0% + in 2021. This would exceed the historical ten-year, twenty-five-year, and forty-year annualized averages according to The Philanthropy Outlook 2021.  This course will provide an understanding of the complexities within this important area and offer guidance to Donor Development Officers, Not-for-Profit board members and financial services professionals charged with adhering to the laws and policies governing these entities.

With the right tools and insight, professionals will learn the technical and practice management skills needed to work in this area of growing opportunity during this two-day course.

Myles McHale, Subject Matter Expert, outlines the various types of foundation structures as well as the technical detailed expertise needed to navigate investment choices, fiduciary responsibilities, and donor-related discussions in this course.

Many professionals satisfy Continuing Education and/or Continuing Legal Education requirements with this course. Rules for CE and CLE approval are time-sensitive and vary by designation and state.
