Pepperdine University
George Pepperdine founded his private university in 1937 with the fortune he made in automotive parts. Originally located in south central Los Angeles, the university moved to Malibu in 1972 and has since grown to an enrollment of 8,300 students that carry on Pepperdine’s tradition of academic excellence coupled with ethical and moral development.
