Cannon Trust Fundamentals
Participants can expect this course to cover the broadest aspects of the Trust industry; the depth of technical competency and skill required to perform complex trust administration is found in our Cannon Trust School I, II, and III courses. Emphasis is placed not only on the various issues of the personal trust field but also on how the areas impact the decisions made in trust and estate planning.
This course concludes with a comprehensive exam.

About Cannon's Online™
Cannon offers three ways to experience our programs online. This course is offered through our Cannon Online™ platform.
Cannon Online™ is an online self-paced course. Students learn through the integrated use of content modules, videos, assignments, knowledge checks, instructor discussions, and live review calls. Over the 10-week program, students will work through the course material together as a community with the ability to share best practices, constructive feedback and lessons learned through the online platform. A Cannon subject matter expert will provide instruction in the platform and on live review calls held every 3 weeks. Students are required to complete a proctored final exam at the end of the program.
This introductory course focuses on the role of a fiduciary professional, the fiduciary industry overall, and the impact of decision-making in the areas of trust and estate planning. This course is not mandatory.
Areas of Study Include: Business Terminology, Legal Concepts and Overview, Utilization of Trust Services, Retirement and Estate Planning Instruments, Operational Rules, Rules for Estate Taxation, Fundamental Fiduciary Responsibilities, Investment Management Responsibilities and Structures, Document Analysis, and Case Studies
